Introducing the Beachcomber Large Wallet & the Beachcomber Folio bundle!

The large wallet & folio both have 2 magnetic snaps for a secure closure. The inside features a large zippered pocket and 10 card slots and a large slot for paper money. Behind the zippered pocket and card slots you can store receipts, passports, boarding passes and such. On the back exterior of both the wallet and the folio there is a phone pocket that holds most cell phones.

They’re both designed to be bulk-free. It can be made from various fabric mediums such as thinner faux leathers, vinyl, cork fabric or even quilting cotton. This pattern is domestic machine friendly.

The large wallet and folio have so many features, such as;

These patterns are for the Ambitious Beginner Sewist. They are domestic machine friendly. You’ll need to choose your materials appropriately. You'll need to know how to install a zipper and determine interfacing to match your material choices.

• EXTERIOR & CONTRAST EXTERIOR: pliable vinyl/faux leather, cork, linen, waxed canvas or waterproof canvas.

• LINING & CONTRAST LINING: quilting cotton, linen, or waterproof canvas.

• WOVEN INTERFACING: Pellon SF101 or similar.

• FIRM INTERFACING (for the body of the wallet): Decovil Light, This might not be needed for your chosen materials. Alternatively, a second layer of woven interfacing can be used if the Decovil Light is too much

or not available.

FABRIC & WOVEN INTERFACING REQUIREMENTS: (measurements are approximate and don’t account for directional and/or fussy cutting)

• EXTERIOR: 1/4 yard or 1 fat quarter

• CONTRAST EXTERIOR: 1/4 yard or 1 fat quarter

• LINING: 1/3 yard

• CONTRAST LINING: 1/2 yard

• WOVEN INTERFACING (20" wide / 45" wide): 1 1/8 yard / 1/2 yard

• FIRM INTERFACING (20" wide): 1/3 yard

HARDWARE & SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS:

BOTH SIZES

• (1) - 8" #5 zipper OR 8" #5 continuous zipper tape and 1 zipper pull

• (2) - 18mm thin magnetic snaps

RECOMMENDED HARDWARE & SUPPLIES:

• Pencil or similar marking utensil

• Wonder clips or similar

• Craft knife or seam ripper to cut slits for the magnetic snaps

• DST (double sided tape)

• Painters tape or washi tape

• Duct tape to cover the backs of the magnetic snaps

• Fray-check

• Starch for the card slots

• Bone folder (optional)
