The Nautilus Hobo Bag is finally here!

This chic bag features an exterior that can be customized to your liking! The inside features two slip pockets and a choice of a magnetic snap flap or a zipper panel closure to keep your belongings safe. There are two sized bag handles to choose from also! It can be made from various fabric mediums such as pliable faux leathers, vinyl, cork fabric, quilting cotton or even thin leather. This pattern features a few unique sewing techniques that you can use when sewing other bag patterns. This pattern is such a fun sew!

This pattern includes:

• FULL Sized Pattern pieces (one piece is cut-on-fold)

• a Cut List (to use instead of the included rectangular pattern pieces - to save the trees!)

• colorful and clear diagrams for most steps

• an A0 copy-shop file to use for projector use or to print at a copyshop

• Labels to keep track of your cut pieces

• Coloring Pages

NAUTILUS HOBO BAG FINISHED DIMENSIONS: 13"W x 12"H x 5"D

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:

• EXTERIOR: pliable vinyl/faux leather, cork, linen or quilting cotton

• LINING: quilting cotton, linen, or waterproof canvas

• FACING FABRIC: quilting cotton or thin linen (similar in color to the Exterior)

• WOVEN INTERFACING: Pellon SF101 or similar

• FIRM INTERFACING: Decovil Light or fusible foam or equivalent

FABRIC & WOVEN INTERFACING REQUIREMENTS: (measurements are approximate and don’t account for directional and/or fussy cutting)

• EXTERIOR: 1 yard (I used a 55"W x 18"H vinyl roll and it was enough)

• LINING (44" wide): 3/4 yard

• FACING FABRIC: 14"W x 6"H

• WOVEN INTERFACING (20" wide / 45" wide): 2 3/4 yards / 1 yard

• FIRM INTERFACING: 1 yard

HARDWARE & SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS:

• (2) - 1 1/2" rectangle rings OR 1 1/2" O-rings OR 1 1/2" spring gate rings

• (8-12) - rivets OR Chicago screws (approx. 6mm-12mm post length - post length determined by material thickness)

Additionally, choose one of the following closures:

• (2) - 18mm magnetic snaps

• (1) - 16" #5 zipper or continuous zipper tape

RECOMMENDED HARDWARE & SUPPLIES:

• Starch

• Craft knife

• Pencil or similar marking utensil

• Wonder clips

• Duct tape

• Double sided tape (DST) or Washaway Wonder Tape

• Hole punch tool

• Rivet setting tools

• Fray-Check
