My Salty Sailor Mini Ditty Bag pattern is super lovely and functional! I have several (okay, I have over 10 but who’s counting?!) and I use them daily to corral my electronic cords, sewing notions, first aid items and many other uses!

SALTY SAILOR MINI DITTY BAG FINISHED DIMENSIONS: 9 1/4"W x 6 3/8"H x 3 3/8"D
This pattern is for the Ambitious Beginner / Intermediate Sewist. You'll need to know how to install magnetic snaps, determine interfacing requirements and sew gussets in a tighter space.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: I strongly recommend quilt weight cotton for the exterior and lining. Oilcloth and vinyl covered fabric can be used but I recommend sewing in quilting weight cotton the first time to get familiar with the pattern, specifically the gussets.
FABRIC & WOVEN INTERFACING REQUIREMENTS: (measurements are approximate and don’t account for directional and/or fussy cutting)
• EXTERIOR: 1/3 yard or one fat quarter
• LINING: 1/3 yard or one fat quarter
• WOVEN INTERFACING (20" wide): 1 yard
• FUSIBLE FOAM (or equivalent): 1/3 yard
• PELLON 71F PELTEX (or equivalent): 9" x 3" piece
HARDWARE & SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS:
• (2) - 14mm or 18mm thin magnetic snaps
RECOMMENDED HARDWARE & SUPPLIES:
• (4) - 1 1/4"W x 1"H scrap pieces of cork, vinyl, Decovil Heavy or Kraft-Tex
• (4) - 1" diameter scraps of Pellon 70 Peltex Ultra Firm Sew-in Stabilizer
• Double sided tape (DST) or Washaway Wonder Tape
• School glue stick
• Pencil or similar marking utensil
• Wonder clips
